to the Ernst-Lothar von Knorr Foundation, Heidelberg.

This site is designed to provide information about the composer Ernst-Lothar von Knorr and also to indicate how and where you can obtain CDs, sheet music and performance material. It includes a list of renowned interpreters for concert organisers/agents.

The notes on a sheet of music only become a work of art when they are performed. Not everyone is able to imagine the effect a piece of music will have merely by looking at the score. Music depends on its performers, who are frequently given more praise and applause than the creators of the works they interpret.

For this reason we have decided to further the cause of the composer von Knorr and make his music accessible and available to a wider audience.

As of June 2008 you will also find audio and music examples from selected works on the page "Works". These can also be found in the new online database of the Deutscher Komponistenverband e.V., where you can look for works by using different search criteria.
